| So what is "The Project?" - We all know that IRC is used for chatting to many different people, but SolarStone has noticed that the user community is mostly American, especially on the network we are linked to, and our project is to get us Brits using IRC more, and we are here to address the reasons we think that are preventing Brits using IRC: |

| 1. SolarStone is UK based, and part of "The Project" is to get many more of you British folk using IRC. As some of you may know, BT is offering unmetered access to the Internet, so why not check it out? Previously it has been hard to get on the Internet as calls were charged per minute and big expensive bills put us off using the Internet much. This "metered" access is beginning to fade away....so why not check IRC out!!?? |

| 2. More and more people in the UK now have computers. We aim to let these people know about IRC and that it can be "fun". |

| 3. There are a few websites out there which explain what IRC is and how it works - we intend to be that, and much more. We will become a "dictionary" for UK IRC users, and any other users who wish to view the website, things will change quite frequently around here, so keep checking back. |
